Hilton Tokyo Bay is one of the Official Hotels of Tokyo Disney Resort, a group of large hotels on the bayfront at Maihama linked to the parks by the Disney Resort Line monorail. That makes it the sensible base for families planning one or two Disney days, without paying the premium of the Disney-run hotels inside the resort. The hotel is a big, family-oriented resort property with a wide range of rooms, including uniquely themed guest rooms and bunk-bed rooms designed for children, alongside Executive Rooms, Executive Select Rooms and suites that include access to the executive lounge. There are five restaurants and a bar, serving cuisines from around the world, with breakfast buffets that are popular with families heading out early to the parks. Getting to the parks is simple: a complimentary Disney Resort Cruiser shuttle bus runs between the hotel and Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line, and the monorail then loops to Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea and Resort Gateway Station by JR Maihama. From central Tokyo, JR Keiyo Line trains reach Maihama in about fifteen minutes from Tokyo Station, and airport limousine buses serve the Disney hotels from both Narita and Haneda. Official Hotel guests can access some resort benefits; check the current list on the official resort site before booking, as perks change.
Why stay at the bay rather than in the city? Because Disney days start early and end late. Staying here lets you be at the gates for opening, return to the room for an afternoon rest with small children, and go back for the evening parade, then be in bed minutes after the fireworks rather than facing a crowded train back to Tokyo. For two-park trips, it also saves two return journeys. Many families split their stay, with two or three nights at the bay and the rest in central Tokyo, and transfer between the two by taxi or airport bus.
The trade-offs: Maihama is a resort area with little to do outside the parks and the Ikspiari mall, so it is not a base for exploring Tokyo. The hotel is large and can be busy, with long lines at check-in and breakfast on holiday weekends, and its rooms command a premium on Disney's busiest dates. The monorail fare is not included for every journey, and the shuttle adds a few minutes to each trip compared with the hotels inside the resort.
Room advice: book the bunk-bed rooms or the themed rooms early if you have children, since these are the main reason to choose this hotel over its neighbors, and request a bay-view room for sunsets over the water. Executive categories with lounge access are worthwhile for longer stays. Buy your dated park tickets as soon as your dates are confirmed, and check whether your stay includes any official-hotel benefits for park entry. Pair with Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, and with a city hotel such as MIMARU or the Keio Plaza for the rest of your trip.

Good Questions
How do I get from Hilton Tokyo Bay to the parks?
Take the free Disney Resort Cruiser shuttle to Bayside Station, then the Disney Resort Line monorail to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea.
Is it an official Disney hotel?
It is one of the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels, linked to the parks by monorail. It is not one of the Disney-operated hotels inside the resort, which are more expensive.
Is it a good base for exploring Tokyo?
Not really. Central Tokyo is about fifteen minutes by train from Maihama, but there is little nearby except the parks. Most families stay here only for their Disney nights.
