It sits on the Meistraat, a short walk from the Rubens House and the Meir, Antwerp’s main shopping street, so the cathedral, the Grote Markt and the KMSKA are all within reach on foot or by tram. Rooms are compact and functional in the familiar ibis style, with comfortable beds and free WiFi, and there are accessible rooms for guests with reduced mobility. A hot and cold breakfast buffet is served every morning, the Bar Rendez-Vous is open for a drink in the evening, and pets are welcome. The hotel has a car park, and public parking is also available nearby, which helps if you are driving into a city where central parking is limited. It is not a place to linger, but it does the basics well and leaves more of your budget for museums and Belgian food.

Location and getting around: the Meistraat runs off the shopping streets in the centre. The Rubens House is about 300 metres away and the Meir about 500 metres. The cathedral and the Grote Markt are an easy walk through the pedestrian streets, and Antwerp Central Station is reachable on foot along the Meir and the De Keyserlei, or in a few stops by tram or premetro.
